The Center For Women's Business Advancement offers networking, technical assistance, training, and support to a diverse mix of women entrepreneurs and business owners in New Hampshire. We enable our clients to create jobs, generate income, enhance skills, and build assets and community. The CWBA seeks to provide support to women and women-owned businesses in all phases of business development beginning with start-up assistance, and continuing through growth and maintenance of established businesses.
In the summer of 2010, Southern New Hampshire University gathered together several leaders, many of whom had a long-standing relationship with the former Women's Business Center. After much deliberation, the group determined with resounding affirmation that a women's business center was necessary and essential to New Hampshire's continued small business success. The group included: Laurie Chandler, Lucy Hodder, Mary Jo Brown, Kathleen Reardon, Katie Merrow, Deborah Schachter, Rachael Stuart, Marianne Jones, Christos Papoutsy, Ellen Fineberg, and Nancy Euchner. Under the leadership of Dean Bill Gillett, the University received a grant from the United States Small Business Administration's Office of Women's Business Ownership.
Today, old and new stakeholders have created a solid foundation to ensure that the CWBA has a lasting and positive impact on the small business community.
